-different types of writings were coming out and it was expanding the audiences
-costs of printing decreased and the literacy rate increased different types of styles came along and business got better in that area
-it was moving from europe other countries and then to the united states
-one tip is: LESS IS MORE; real people in real life dont sti and stare at logos they just give them a quick glance
-logo design is hard but it is a very important thing in graphic design
-it is very hard because companies are very picky and you must meet their exact needs also while incorporating a lot of good graphic design techniques
-combination marks- graphics with both text and a symbol/icon that signifies the brand image

spot color:
-method of specifying and printing colors in which color is printed wit its own ink
-pantone mathing system, every printer uses this color of inks
colors:
-color can illicit different feelings and emotions from the audience
-color may depend on age, gender, and culture and you need to be very careful about it
-colors also follow trends just like fashion
-only use 2 or 3 colors at the very most

-iconic
-symbolic-less direct, more abstract
-combination mark-visual and text
-word mark/letter mark-only have text
